About the JISC TechDis Community areaThis area of the JISC TechDis website is used to support our staff development activities, either 'virtual' or face to face. The way in which it is used will differ depending on the author or facilitator, in the same way as face to face workshops differ. However, we welcome feedback and urge participants using the system to feedback to the facilitators. Using the JISC TechDis Community areaThis area is an Open Source Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle). Many areas of the site will be accessible without registering. However, for most interactive areas, such as fora and chat rooms users will need to be registered, there is no charge, but JISC TechDis reserve the right to exclude users who behave in ways that are detrimental to the Community area, including use of bad language and inappropriate behaviour. RegisteringTo become a registered user of the site simply go to the login on the top right of the page, the link will take you to the Log In page where you can create a new user account. An automatic e-mail will be generated with details of how to complete your registration. About JISC TechDisJISC TechDis aims to be the leading educational advisory service, working across the UK, in the fields of accessibility and inclusion. JISC TechDis aims to enhance provision for disabled students and staff in higher, further (including adult and community learning provision) and specialist education through the use of technology.
