Submitting a bid for the HEAT Scheme
Bids should be submitted using the form below no later than
12 noon on
Tuesday 15 July. Bids MUST be submitted in MS Word format using the template below:

Forms should be submitted through the relevant Higher Education Academy Subject Centre for discipline-related projects or directly to JISC TechDis for bids not related to a specific subject area. Any correspondence to JISC TechDis regarding the HEAT scheme should be sent to heat@techdis.ac.uk
Conditions
- Bids must not exceed £2150 (inclusive of VAT)
- JISC TechDis will only fund the purchase of technologies; staff time will not be funded.
- Bidding is open to institutions in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
- Bidding is open to staff in HE institutions and FE institutions with over 400 FTEs.
- Discipline areas under-represented in previous rounds of the HEAT scheme: Sociology, Anthropology and Politics; Philosophy and Religious Studies; History, Classics and Archaeology; Economics; Psychology; Law; Materials Science; Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science
- An interim report must be submitted by 31 January 2009, and final reports by 15 May 2009. No extensions to this deadline will be granted.
- Technology will be ordered and distributed by 30 September 2008. JISC TechDis will make every effort to obtain the technology by this date and reserves the right to withdraw funding if this is not possible.
- It is recommended, following lessons learned during previous rounds of HEAT, that proposals requiring committee approval are not submitted, due to the compressed time scales available for this kind of activity.
