Guidance for Senior Managers: 12 steps towards embedding inclusive use of technology as a whole institution culture

JISC TechDis worked with senior staff in UK Higher Education Institutions (and HE-delivering FE colleges) to elicit good practice in embedding inclusive practice with technology as a whole institution culture. Each institution reported that positive relationships between key roles and policies underpinned the successful adoption of an inclusive technology culture across the institution. The good (and poor) practice uncovered has led directly to the formulation of a report describing 12 steps that senior managers can take to lead and embed inclusive practice with technology as a whole institution culture. We are now working with senior managers who have volunteered to utilise the recommendations made in the briefing in their own institution – lessons learned from this process will be published on our website in late 2009 / early 2010. The full research paper and a briefing for Senior Managers are available now from the JISC TechDis website.
