Changing Font Spacing in Microsoft Word
®

If viewing a document using Microsoft
®
Word the following steps can be taken to change the individual character spacing.

  • Select all the text in the document using the menu items
    Edit
    >
    Select All
     
    (Shortcut key is
    CTRL and A
    on the keyboard).
  • Navigate menu to
    Format
    >
    Font
    and select the
    Character Spacing
    tab. The Font dialogue box (as shown in Figure 1) is displayed.
  • Use the
    Spacing
    section to increase or decrease the spacing between the letters.

Figure 2 and Figure 3 show the difference increasing spacing can make to a piece of text.
